The NHCC is located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. As of November 2010, 23 Canadian agencies are involved. They are working together to improve the lives of people living in Canada who have chronic neurological diseases, disorders and injuries. They are developing a Canadia National Brain Stragegy.

New Research at Henry Ford Hospital Links Tinnitus to the Brain (not just the ear or ears). The research used a MEG scan. The scan could pinpoint to greater accuracy the area in the brain actually responsible for the tinnitus. This will lead to more focused treatment.

The U. S. Dept. of Defense announced the roll-out of new brain injury early detection and treatment guidelines on March 16, 2010. The new guidelines will focus on incident-based instead of symptom-based protocols for servicemen and servicewomen in the U.S. military.

The mission of the NN/LM is to advacne the progress of mediciine, improve the public health... and improve the public's access to information in order that members of the public be able to make informed decisions regarding their health. The network is administered by the National Library of Medicine. It consists of eight Regional Medical Libraries (major institutions under contract with the National Library of Medicine), more than 151 Resource Libraries (primarily at medical schools), and some 4,196 Primary Access Libraries (primarily at hospitals).
